- MY STORY

Abstract food for every mood

My mom wanted me to be a mathematician when I grew up. So I unintentionally went into a completely different direction. Thankfully, my journey here was completely natural, even if sometimes it seems that I didn't have much of a say in it. I've always walked the line between the logical and the chaotic, creating everything from geometrical minimalism to things that probably only make sense inside my own head.

It began as you might expect.
In a hole in the ground, there lived a Hobbit.

When I was 12, I picked up Photoshop and started making small digital artworks for forums, which were then called signatures. A couple of years later, I moved on to Illustrator and started thinking of graphic design as something I could actually do for a living. I mostly focused on logo design, taking whatever jobs I could find and figuring things out along the way.

Not really sure if I could make it, and convinced I had about 0% talent for design, I decided to give Belgrade's Faculty of Law a shot. It only took me a couple of years to realize I'd rather spend my life doing something I love than watch my soul slowly waste away doing something I despise.

So I went back to what I knew. Or at least what I thought I knew.

Years passed, projects came and went, and somewhere along the way I found myself working in animation, game art, and eventually leading creative teams. Funny how things turn out when you start by making little pictures for strangers on the internet.

But through all of that, I never really stopped making art for myself.

That's where myghail comes in. A place for all the strange ideas, dark atmospheres, surreal landscapes, and occasional happy accidents that don't necessarily belong anywhere else.

These days, I create surreal digital artwork, exclusive premade album covers, and animations for musicians, bands, and independent artists looking for something a little different. Strange places, dark atmospheres, and other things that hopefully give someone's music a face of its own. Some pieces are made with a purpose, others simply because I couldn't get an idea out of my head.

I still enjoy experimenting, still have a lot to learn, and still get excited when something turns out better than I imagined.

So here I am, all these years later, still making things. And not regretting a thing.
